Can i cross out any mistakes i make on an Irish Passport Application Form?

I am currently applying for an Irish Passport but i have made a mistake in that i have entered the County am currently residing in, instead of the County i was born in, which is what they asked for. If i cross out my mistake and correct it, will my passport application be rejected?
