Can I transfer my passport application to another city?

I am from India and have applied for passport. But now, after applying, situation has changed and I want to get the passport made with my grand parent's home address (They reside in a different state) Is it possible to do so? If so, what is the procedure ?

1. An Indian passport? Do you live in the US? You probably need to contact an Indian consulate and tell them your address has changed. .
2. it depends on where u are living. The main problem is that how will u proove that u are LIVING at that adress ( ur grandparents ). For example, if u are living in Lucknow and your grandparents live in Delhi, u cant apply for passport from Lucknow. U have to provide proof of residence. if u can do that then u need to apply to passport office to withdraw your present application and then apply a afresh at the passport office in the new location again. It is quite difficult.
