What to put in the "relationsship to other parent" field on a passport application in Canada? Applying for a passport for a child- both parents are in agreement about it. They were teenagers when he was born, never married, and broke up shortly after his birth. Mom has sole and dad has court ordered visitation. What should they put on the passport in the "relationship with other parent" field? (they arent married, dovorced etc).

How can I get my passport application returned? When I submitted my passport renewal application back in May to Passport Canada, I didn't have travel plans. Now I am scheduled to travel on July 28 (3 weeks from the time this question was asked), but the Passport Canada web site says that they are getting a record number of applications, and it could take up to 15 weeks to process my application. (!!) Since my passport doesn't expire until October anyways, I would like to get my application back again and reapply when I have come back from my trip. A CBC news article recently mentioned there is a 1-800 to get it returned, but for some odd reason they didn't give the number. Passport Application Put On Hold? WHY? My best friend and I were wanting to travel abroad. She filled out the application form and sent it in and waited, but after two months, the passport never showed in the mail. She phoned to find out what was going on and was told her passport application had been put on hold. As such, we were unable to take a trip we had been planning for March Break. child passport application question? Hi Everyone, My male friend was not listed as a father on his son’s birth certificate. The mother wants him to sign the passport application as the father. The son doesn’t have his last name (has the mother’s), he sees his son regularly (and has a letter signed by the mother allowing him to leave canada to travel on vacation). Does a passport signature have to be legible? My signature is illegible, only the first letters of my first and last name can be read. (1) I am working with a company now, but for the last 11 months I was unemployed and before that I was with the same company but in a different part of canada. I know people will tell me just fill out the truth, but I would like to know if, IF in the application I fill out "single" while I am already married, will they do a background check for my personal information, how likely are they going to do that? The website is too confusing so I was hoping someone could dumb it down for me. What do I need to do? I know I can download the forms online, but do I fill them in online? Is this as ridiculous of a request from passport canada as i think it is? They called regarding my recent application, where I listed my previous passport as lost and said why, which is: I moved from Halifax to Alberta in March 2007 and thought it was in a folder I packed without double checking, but when I got in Alberta, it wasn't there, nor in any of my belongings. I got my mom to check a few things I left at her house, but most of the boxes I left behind are in the attic. You need a ladder to get into the attic; my mom is elderly and lives alone and does not go up there. The lady from the passport office suggested one of my mom's friends go up there to search these boxes. When I said no to that idea, she said why couldn't I get one of my friends in Halifax to do the same thing. I told her I wouldn't feel comfortable asking a friend I haven't seen in 2 years to go into my mother's attic to look through a bunch of packed boxes for an expired passport that may or may not be there. But should I even have had to tell her that?! Does this seem reasonable or ridiculous to others?
