Cost of Philippine passport? I am being told that the passport process in the Philippines is not easy and that the costs are much more than just the $10 paid to the consulate. For instance I’m being told that a police clearance is needed which costs. I don’t have a list with me at the moment, but there are requirements that are mentioned that I have not found in any of my internet searches. The person telling me this claims she knows the headaches you have to go through and the costs involved because she has friends that have gone through the process. I tend to believe her, but then I have not known her very long. Can someone who has been through the process share your experience and knowledge concerning requirements and cost? She is wanting $300 to cover travel costs and the passport. She admits there is some extra in her estimate to cover any unexpected expenses. If the $300 will get the job done that is fine with me even if there is money left over. My concern is will it cover everything and will more money be needed later. Thanks.
